This paper represents high-precision gravimetric equipment, which was designed, purchased and installed in the D.I. Mendeleev Institute for Metrology. It used to measure the absolute value of the free fall acceleration and its variations. The fist investigations showed that this equipment may be used as primary standard.

Key words: gravity, acceleration, geoid, navigation system, ballistic gravimeter, superconducting gravimeter.
